Entry requirements:

(1) Volunteers attached to a Volunteer Welfare Organisation (VWO) in Singapore

(2) For guitarists/musicians who are not volunteers yet - the requirement is that you will need

(i) to become a volunteer in a VWO or

(ii) take up projects which VGC is currently embarking on.

For option 1, as a starting pt, we can recommend you to VWOs where our current members are volunteering at.

Due to sensitivity of some of the projects we are taking up, we will also need to conduct a short interview with you, and also understand your guitar skill level so we can ascertain a suitable project or VWO to attach to. Listed below are some potential ways how you can contribute:

Projects : Teach beneficiaries guitar skills (cancer patients/children or teenagers from problem families etc)
Performances : Performing strum-and-sing for needy beneficiaries including elderly or children who are less privileged
Teaching : Teach guitar playing to volunteers so they can in turn bring music to their beneficiaries in respective VWOs

VGC CHALET 24 /25MARCH 2007

Hi VGC guitarist,
The VGC chalet has finally come to an end and over here i must thank all those who supported and made it a success. Especially to the Sock Hwee and her organising committee which has made this gathering a very special and meaningful one. They have contributed a lot of effort to organise this chalet as can be seen from the high standard of enjoyment that we got during the chalet as well as the meaning souvenir(guitar pick). I am sure this has set a high bench mark for future organising committee.=P
With the farewell of our chalet gathtering, its time to move on and prepare for a new challenge in guitrar. With that, i hope everyone can actively support the VGC and contribute to its

development.

HaPPy NeW yEaR 2007
We have received 4 invitation for CNY performance . This performances and bring happiness to all people.
The four accepted are:
1, SN Home(Yishun) Performance on 23th Friday evening about 7pm
2,All Saints (Tampiness) performance on 24th, Sat afternoon abt 3pm.

3, MINDSVille at Napiri 10 feb afternoon request a mini concert
4. Brighthill 3 March sat afternoon

Acid Camp 2006 "Guitar Rendezvous"

2006 June 10 - We were overwhelmed by about 300 volunteers and participants of the ACID camp as we started our rendition of songs ranging from evergreens like "Old McDonald's Had a Farm", "Take Me Home, Country Roads" to pop songs like "Xiao Wei" and "Lao Shu Ai Da Mi" ... We could feel the hall quivering when we played "If you're Happy" ... It was an experience we could never forget ...
